A Message from your PSUO-SSUO Bargaining Team:
As of 12:01 a.m. on September 17, 2020, the PSUO-SSUO Bargaining Unit was in a legal strike position.
Your Bargaining Team is not initiating strike action against the University at this time.
We are examining all viable pathways to getting to a fair and reasonable agreement with the University.
Any final agreement must respect you and recognize the invaluable work you do every day to make the University of Ottawa a place where you and other staff want to work, and where students choose to learn.
Your Bargaining Team has been flexible and creative in its proposals to the University throughout this round of negotiations. We hope that the University will engage in discussions focused on the outstanding issues important to you and work with your Bargaining Team to find a pathway forward that will avoid work disruptions.
Rest assured that you have the support of over 60,000 OSSTF/FEESO members from across Ontario and thousands more in the broader labour movement. They will be there to support you in whatever pathway is necessary to achieve a fair and reasonable deal with the University.
