The PSUO-SSUO Executive Committee cordially invite you to attend the:
2017 ANNUAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY (AGA)
Tuesday, June 6, at 4:30 p.m.
room B0138 on the ground floor of SITE, 800 King Edward
A light supper will be served. In order that we may order the proper quantity of food, please confirm your attendance by Friday, May 26 at info@psuo-ssuo.ca.
Please inform us also of any special accommodations (sign language, wheelchair, visual assistance, etc.) you may require. All members still in attendance at the end of the meeting will be eligible for a draw of four gift certificates valued at $50 each. The draws will be held at the AGA and you must be in attendance to win the prize.
Elections - Executive Committee
This year the Executive Committee positions (all are for two year terms) up for election will be:
- President (full-time release position)
- Second Vice-President
- Secretary
- Member at large-2
A reminder that our President, Richard Hogan, is leaving for his retirement and therefore will not be seeking another term.
The nomination period for these positions will start May 5th, 2017, and the nomination forms are available on our Annual General Assembly page.
Amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws
Members will be asked to vote on amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws regarding the following points:
- Article 7 : Professional Conduct (new article)
- Bylaw 2 : Elections
- Bylaw 4 : Structure, Operation and responsibilities of the Executive Committee

Volunteers wanted
We need volunteers for the following tasks during the AGA:
- Greeting and registration of members (starting at 3:30 p.m.)
- Scrutineers for the elections
- Meeting Secretary (two persons to record which motions were adopted or defeated)

Parking & Childcare
Parking fees will be paid for members who do not have a uOttawa parking permit for the main campus. Please let us know at the same time that you confirm your attendance. Childcare expenses to allow members to attend the Assembly will be reimbursed at the current Ontario minimum wage of $11.40 per hour. Receipts from the childcare provider must be provided.
