OSSTF / FEESO accueille le nouveau ministre de la Formation et des Collèges et Universités

The Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF/FEESO) congratulates Brad Duguid on being appointed Ontario’s new Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities.

“Our Federation takes pride in its role of protecting and enhancing public education,” says Ken Coran, President of OSSTF/FEESO. “Our members believe that all students deserve a broad range of learning options and that each one of them must be given the opportunity to be successful and make a positive contribution to our society.”

“We look forward to working with the new Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities on all education issues,” says Coran. “In particular, we will continue to advocate for reliable operational funding for post-secondary institutions, adequate staffing levels for faculty and support staff, as well as a commitment to lower tuitions. Students need a whole educational team to have a successful academic career.”

“We know that Brad Duguid’s experience as Minister of Economic Development and Innovation will give him a unique perspective on the importance of post-secondary education in Ontario,” says Coran.

“OSSTF/FEESO and this government have worked collaboratively on many post-secondary educational items,” says Coran. “I am confident that we will continue to work together on these and other issues in the near future.”
