eSSENTIAL Accessibility’s comprehensive accessibility solution helps us meet customer service, employment, and information and communication standards mandated by the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

OSSTF/FEESO is proud to be a Founding Member of this Disability Community Involvement Initiative, launched in association with leading advocacy groups for the disabled. It brings us one step closer to mirroring our society's diversity in the people we employ and serve.

We are continually working to make our web content and online resources accessible as part of our online inclusion efforts. We are committed to providing a website that 1) features Assistive Technology for individuals who have trouble typing, gesturing, moving a mouse or reading and 2) is built with accessibility in mind so that no one with a disability is left behind.

We have partnered with eSSENTIAL Accessibility to assist in adopting and implementing procedures to the relevant portions of the World Wide Web Consortium’s Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 Level AA (WCAG 2.0 AA) as the web accessibility standard for our Websites and continue to make such compliance of our Websites a key focus.

OSSTF/FEESO continues to work with its accessibility partner to conduct periodic Website accessibility audits and to incorporate ongoing and specific recommendations to facilitate and strengthen accessibility for its sites and conformance with current WCAG 2.0 AA standards.
